RV Parking for Virginia Tech Games
Where to park an RV, camper, or oversized vehicle for a Virginia Tech home game.
Public RV parking is available in the Student Remote Lot (Smoot Drive in the Corporate Research Center) and at the Inn at Virginia Tech for all Virginia Tech home football games. Student Remote Lot passes are sold on a single-game, first-come, first-served basis and are managed by the Virginia Tech/Montgomery Executive Airport. RV spaces at the Inn at Virginia Tech must also be reserved in advance. For additional information and reservations, visit vtmea.com/rv-auto-game-day-parking or innatvirginiatech.com/faqs.
RV space near Lane Stadium is limited, so book early. Hokie Club members with RV parking passes are in Lots 3, 18, and 23; those passes must be purchased in advance.
Public RV parking has two main options. The Student Remote Lot (the gravel lot at Smoot Drive and Innovation Drive, in the Corporate Research Center) is run by the Virginia Tech/Montgomery Executive Airport: single-game requests go through the form at vtmea.com/rv-auto-game-day-parking, spaces are assigned first-come, first-served by when the form arrives plus the size and type of RV, and submitting the form does not guarantee a space. Pricing is $300 for the game-day weekend, plus $30 for a car pass for a towed or towing vehicle. Each assigned space is numbered and you must park in your spot. Submit a separate form for each game. **Sold out for 2026: VMI (Sat Sep 5), Pitt (Sat Oct 2), and Georgia Tech (Sat Oct 17).**
The Inn at Virginia Tech has RV parking for all home games. Spaces run about 45 feet and start at $400 for the weekend in 2026. The lot opens at noon Friday (noon Wednesday for a Thursday night game) and vehicles must be out by Sunday afternoon (noon Friday after a Thursday game). There are no hookups or amenities on site. Reserve in advance by calling 540-231-0173; payment is taken at booking and is fully refundable if canceled 30 days out.
Hours for Saturday games: donor RV lots (3, 18, 23) open 12:01 a.m. Friday and clear by noon Sunday; public RV parking (Lot 65) opens 5 p.m. Friday and clears by noon Sunday. For non-Saturday games, public RV parking opens after 3 p.m. game day and must be out before 6 a.m. the next day.
Bring your own water and dump plans — no game-day RV lot around Blacksburg has hookups. No tents or tailgate canopies may be set up before game day, and all tents must be down by noon the day after the game.
